The 2014 Fine Arts Festival committee would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your work on our big festival in August. It is one
of the top outdoor festivals in the nation that couldn't happen without you, and the committee felt you need to be recognized.
So, a huge thank you goes out to Kate & Dave Loomiller, Michelene & Tab Berkey, Steve Samuelson and Beth Riser who hauled
supplies to and from the storage unit. Josh Trefethen, Rich and Mary McCollum, Ellen Lucas and Steve Samuelson marked the
grove for the vendor sites which is always a tricky job, providing workable booth spaces for over 100 vendors. Signs and banners
were put up around the community by Josh Trefethen, Tab Berkey and several wonderful community members.

Laurie Hamilton and Pixie Glore were excellent clerks for the judges, helping them be organized and thorough. Carol
Robinson, Lee wolf, Beth Riser, Cheryl Rosterman, and the parking lot monitors engineered a SMOOTH artist check-in
procedure on Friday. Cheryl Rosterman and Kate Loomiller also were also hostesses, serving up wine and beer to the
artists at the dinner on Saturday night. That awesome dinner was created by local caterer Bill Westergaard. Our booth sitters
gave the artists much needed breaks during the show, drove them to get re-stock, greeted customers and did myriad of other
tasks that made this weekend a success, A huge to thank you to Anna Mead, Paul Thisted, Kathy Plummer,
Joan Mickleson, Pru Gaston, Ron White, Beth Riser, Tim Young, Tab Berkey, Tricia Rosenthal, Jean Widman, Lee Wolff,
Joe Glasmire, Sheralyn Austin-Gagne, Judy Nakari, and Patty Carberry. The water brigade was coordinated by Julie Sims and the
Sims / Trefethen children dragged wagons of water jugs all over the bumpy park to replenish artists' water bottles.
Team Trefethen and Sims, you are the best!

Thanks to Steve Samuelson for putting up and taking down the membership tents as well as helping Dennis Johnson make sense
of the side panels for one of our vendors.  Both Steve and Ron White recorded the festival on camera and those photos will be
exciting to see. Thank you to those who policed the park on Monday morning. Dennis Johnson, Tab Berkey, Lynne Milliken,
Ellen Lucas and Beth Erlund picked up all zip strips, flotsam and jettsam as a gesture of good will to our hosts, the Hiwan Museum
    and Jeffco Open Space.
To all of you volunteers on our most important EAA fund raising project, know that you as a team caused the success of the festival
and aided in the survival of the artists and small business owners. We hope we have not left any volunteer out. If so, know that
you are appreciated and the fault is that of the writer. We received so many thankyous for the morning coffee  and rolls, on site food vendors,
water, shade, the orderly check-in procedure, the great artists dinner, and awesome sales.
You made all that happen and your 2014 Festival Committee is so grateful for your time, effort, cheerfulness and friendship.
    You are the EAA!
Beth Erlund, Dennis Johnson, Paul Koentges, Tab Berkey, Lynne Milliken

You can have all this and more when you sign up to be a Very Important Volunteer, helping make the 48th Annual EAA Fine Arts Festival better than ever.  Come work with the EAA for two hours or more on either Saturday or Sunday, August 23 & 24th and you earn the opportunity to attend the artists' catered dinner on Saturday evening - FOR FREE!  This is a great weekend full of beautiful art, interesting artists, and the shade of wonderful old Ponderosa pines.

The best part is that you will play a crucial role in helping us bring the much needed funds necessary to run ALL the other projects sponsored by the EAA.  This show, rated in the top 200 juried outdoor shows nationwide, is our ONLY fund-raiser and you and your efforts will be publicly recognized in this community after our show weekend.  Want more workshops, interesting show opportunities, friends who share your passion for the arts?  Come help build an even stronger Evergreen Artists Association.

The committee will be posting a list of jobs on the website and/or blog so you may request your assignment and time slot early.

We hope to hear from you and welcome you to the EAA team.
