On November 16th, the Evergreen Artists Association will offer an informal workshop on the "Art of Selling Art," in the auditorium of the Fire Department headquarters, south of Bergen Park. The forum is 10 am - 1 pm with a 1/2-hour break for lunch. A brown bag lunch is encouraged. All EAA members are free and there will be a $35 charge for non-members with that fee going to an automatic membership in the EAA. Evergreen Artists Association is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to raising the awareness of arts and artists in the Evergreen community.

A panel of three successful artists will provide participants with techniques hints and trick of the trade. They will interact with participants to clarify their techniques and will be open to questions on display, manners of meeting and greeting potential collectors, selling your own work or works of other artists, how to include your own successes into the conversations, money, and just about any other pertinent information that will make it easier to trade art for money.

Carol Robinson has been an artist for close to 50 years, but she has also spent the last 25 years selling for some of the most prestigious galleries in Denver. Her skill in approaching potential buyers and closing the deal are well known. She has developed a unique ability to charm collectors whether in a gallery setting or an art show.

With almost 40 years of art sales experience, Beth Erlund has developed several techniques for interacting with customers. encouraging them to love the work enough to take it home leaving her with money in the bank. She participates in over 30 national art festivals each year and was one of the owners of a small but successful art co-op gallery in Golden for six years.

Josh Trefethen is new to the Evergreen area-moving here from Texas last year. Already Josh has been very involved in the local art scene and is the current manager of EAA's Main Street Fine Art Gallery. Josh has been selling his art at outdoor festivals and in galleries for nearly a decade, winning top awards, and gaining a place in numerous private collections around the country. He is very entrepreneurial and business minded, having an MBA from Virginia Tech as well as running several small businesses. He has sold his art and successfully licensed his work for publication internationally to companies such as Barnes & Noble and Expedia.
