2019 Scholarships and Award of Merritt

The Evergreen Artists Association (EAA) was founded in 1958 by artists who joined together providing support and creating an organization for the advancement of the visual arts in our Colorado mountain community. Now, EAA members continue to share their work in a wide variety of fine art and craft media as beginners, amateurs and professionals.

EAA is currently offering a scholarship of $1,750 to one graduating high school senior who plans to major or minor in the Visual Arts in the fall of 2019.  The scholarship award is applied toward tuition at the school the winning student attends in the fall following graduation.

Selection Criteria

  • The EAA Scholarship is strictly merit based.
  • The applicant must live in the mountain areas of the foothills, including Evergreen, Clear Creek County, Gilpin County, and Platte County of Colorado.
  • The submitted portfolio will be juried based on imagination, originality, skillful execution, and professional presentation.
  • All materials MUST be submitted by April 15, 2019.

How to Apply

Interested students must fill out the online registration form found at, EAA Scholarship Application, and submit 8-10 images of their best work. Artwork must be labeled with a name and an image number. Image numbers will coincide with descriptions in the online registration form. Please describe the process used in the artwork, the medium and the inspiration.

All two- and three-dimensional media art works are eligible.  We encourage students to submit photographs of work created in various media in order to provide the jurors with a comprehensive view of the student's work.  Images, in JPG format, will be submitted togrants@evergreenartists.org.  The content must be no larger than 2M.
